Downtown Orlando sees boom in residential high-rise construction

Thousands of new residents interested in downtown sector home

Notwithstanding the coronavirus pandemic, center Orlando is contemplating the development of domestic high-rises and there are more on the drawing board. The City of Orlando stated there were more than 18,000 people previously living in the downtown sector and thousands more could be moving there.

Before any of those designs break territory, it is previously growing pain. Let’s say, there’s only one supermarket store in the midtown area the Publix by Lake Eola. We are operating with other supermarket store owners, operators, businesses, who are looking everywhere in the center area. Chatmon added that there’s a lot of focus for a new grocery store in the north quarter of downtown. That area, I think, is ready for more facilities, and it wouldn’t confuse me at all if that’s where you see the next supermarket store go. I definitely think it’s way too much too soon a resident of downtown Orlando expressed.

Chatmon also said they understand that some people have some issues with that, and we try to relieve that among developers and the society as relevant when we can.

Orlando city administrators will take up the final construction of a command change on the Mariposa Groves design at their meeting on Dec. 7.
