Walt Disney World guests who are pet owners and who wouldn’t think of leaving home to visit
the Magic Kingdom without all beloved members of their family, the greater Orlando area –
including Lake Buena Vista, Celebration, and Kissimmee in Florida– offers a number of pet-friendly options. Among the options are pet-friendly motels for budget travelers and moderately priced hotels that offer amenities similar to more expensive resorts.
Pet-friendly accommodations, available at all price points, tend to charge additional fees for pets and will have rules for kenneling and other care. Policies vary as to what type of pet – generally dogs and cats – and their size limits. Most won’t allow pets to stay unattended in a room, so guests should plan to onboard their pets at Walt Disney World’s kennels, or at Best Friends Pet Care Resort, while they visit the theme parks.
The following is intended as a starting point for research for individuals traveling to the Orlando area to visit Walt Disney World or other attractions. All accommodations are Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotels, inspected by Disney, and chosen for their high standards (regardless of their price points).

Finding Pet-Friendly Accommodations
There are several useful resources for finding pet-friendly motels, hotels, resorts, and vacation
homes in the Orlando area and elsewhere. The AAA publication Traveling with Your Pet: The
AAA PetBook is highly recommended as it provides more than 13,000 pet-friendly and AAA
approved lodgings. Online sources include PetsWelcome and DogFriendly.
Because motels and hotels change their policies, be sure to check with any pet-friendly motels
and hotels for current policies, rates, and any fees before booking a reservation. Also, make sure
all pets have up-to-date vaccinations and bring their records for kenneling purposes.
