The rising of the covid-19 cases in Florida Orange County Public School medical advisory committee wrote to Richard Corcoran.
The medical advisory asked to continue the learning process online in spring. The last Orange County school board held in August, established a medical advisory committee made up of infectious disease experts, pediatricians, and others to improve the school district evaluation on how to deal with the ongoing pandemic.
The letter said, “We believe having a virtual school platform for the entire 2020-2021 academic year is a medical necessity”. Doctors anticipate well ahead, that students will need more isolation in Spring than now.
The medical advisory committee, Dr. Vincent Hsu said that “Without a virtual platform, student’s ability to access their curriculum and make effective progress would be significantly impacted,”. School districts had to submit their re-opening plans to the state for approval.
